Our family is our most cherished blessing. We talk to our families just about every day and spend time together often. Birthdays and holidays are always celebrated and are always a good excuse for getting together to prepare a favorite meal or eat out. They are so thrilled about our adoption plans!

Our Families
About Stephanie's Family: Stephanie feels fortunate in belonging to such an open, loving family. This is not to say it was perfect, as her parents divorced when she was little, but she always grew up knowing they both loved her and took good care of her. The somewhat unusual thing in her family, some might think, is the level of harmony. Despite divorce and remarriage, her parents care about each other and happily socialize together. Stephanie has a brother and, through the blesssing of an adoption reunion, a sister.
About Don's Family: Don's family consists of his Dad who is Irish Catholic, his Mom who is Chinese-American and his younger brother. We think it is really neat that Don's mom was in the Peace Corps in Morocco in the 1960s. She is a retired pharmacist. Don's Dad was in the Army as a young man and retired from government service. Don has a very large extended family in the area that gets together for birthdays, christenings, and holidays. We can't wait to add to the warm and happy chaos of these wonderful gatherings which have litlle cousins running everywhere.
